Well we knew that they were out there - and we proved it! April 15, 2006 we had an extremely packed house to see 15 incredible women bouts here at Fight and Fitness. It was a blast! On the same night of the U.F.C - fans of the women fighters came out in droves. We were so packed, that some people were left outside-trying to peek through the cracks.

Participating in the free event, were 9 Bay Area gyms: Fight and Fitness, Fairtex, South Bay Fight Club, Universal Martial Arts, Navarro's, Baby Face Boxing, Team U.S.A., Cheetah Muay Thai, Marin M.M.A., A.K.A. and Cung Le's Martial Arts. We even had an exhibition by former 5 time world champion boxer, Gina Guidi and current world champion, Martha Salazar. The evening was so much fun and the crowd was going crazy! All the women fought with heart and skills that definitely set the standard higher for upcoming events. From Fight and Fitness: Jen Richardson, Doreen Wong, Nifer Fahron, Danielle Belliveau, and Vanessa Alvarado competed and did very well. The after-party was held at Gordon Biersh Brewery where fans and fighters celebrated into the night.
