Damien Defeats
Opponent at Fairfield Fight Fest
For those of you who missed it, Fairfield Fight Fest was
a fun and exciting evening. There were many great bouts and
FnF fighter, Damien Noorbakhsh, put on an action-packed performance.
Damien was up against a tough opponent,
Mike Pacis, out of Cung le’s gym in San Jose.
In the first round Damien was calm and collected as he began
sizing up Mike. It was pretty evenly paced for the first
minute or so until Damien began landing hard right hands
and a series of powerful leg kicks. Mike was able to answer
back with a few punches but nothing that really affected
Damien.
The second round started with a bang
as Damien came out and immediately threw a hard leg kick
which swept Mike off of his feet. He continued with this
arsenal of left hooks and more leg kicks. Again, Mike fought
with a lot of heart and hands but wasn’t able to
hurt Damien. The round ended in the clinch with Damien
controlling the action.
The third round continued much like the
second with Damien’s
focus on Mike’s left leg. He was also able to
land a nice head shot in the middle of the round. Although
Mike continued to come forward, he wasn’t able to back
Damien off and in the end the unanimous decision went to
Fight and Fitness. Congratulations to Damien. We look forward
to his next fight—April 1st in Fresno!! Tickets on
