Chris Wins WCSC National Belt 5/30/09

Thanks to everyone who made it out to the fights. It was a long, grueling night (fights ended at midnight!) We appreciate everybody hanging on and supporting Chris. Luckily, he pulled off an exciting, decisive win....

Chris fought NorCal fighter, Alvin Cacdac, who is know for his great wrestling style. Chris prepared well training stand-up with Neungsiam Samphusri and ground with Kurt Osiander and Darren Uyenoyama from Ralph Gracie. He also had help from Brian Pitaniello and Orlando Quiroz from Rail City MMA in Vermont. Chris would like to thank all of the above and his sponsors: On The Mat and Purified Soul.

The fight was back in forth with exciting action. Chris threw some great kicks and had some amazing close submission attempts. Alvin had some nice takedowns and was able to escape from Chris' onslaught. In the 5th round, Alvin made an attempt at a knee bar. Chris was able to defend it, take his back, and finish the fight with a rear naked choke.
