Casey Morton fights at Summer Smash , June 6 2009.

This past Saturday, female amateur boxer Casey Morton once again put her diligent training to the test, taking a fight on two weeks notice at the Mazanita Rec. Center in Marin City, CA. Her opponent was Katherine Nyman from Phight Club Gym. From bell to bell, Casey relentlessly pursued her opponent with fierce aggression, throwing punishing straight combinations and finishing with trajectory overhands that left her opponent backpedaling on the outside. Although Casey's pace remained unwavering for all three rounds, the judges ultimately saw the bout in her opponents favor and awarded Katherine the decision. We look forward to a rematch.
