Chris Suffers First Loss in MMA 3/21/2008

It was a disapointing week-end for Chris as he suffered his first MMA loss at ShoXC. He trained right; was in amazing shape and was ready to go. Here is what happened:

Oshiro came out and landed an inside leg kick. Chris fired back with a high head kick and they clinched against the cage. The two exchanged knees. Oshiro seemed desperate to take Chris down but couldn't and Chris took him down and landed in full mount. Chris took Oshiro's back, sunk in the hooks in and landed some good shots. Oshiro was able to work to a crouched position as Chris continued to land knees and shots to the head. Oshiro made it to his feet, they worked in the clinch and then as Chris went for a right elbow-- Oshiro landed a huge right hook to the jaw and Chris went down. Oshiro jumped on Chris and finished the fight.

Will there be a rematch? Of course!! Out of respect, Chris will give Oshiro some time to enjoy his win. He will then be asking EliteXC for another match with Oshiro. I am sure it will be granted as it was providing huge entertainment for the crowd at Chumash Casino and Showtime.

In the meantime, Chris is focusing on his next fight! In 5 days, Chris and Evan will be competing in the Pan Ams in L.A.. We wish them luck! Chris continues with an amazing mma record of 6-1.
