On Saturday, August 27 Fight and
Fitness, brought many fighters to support Portrero
Boxing Club’s premiere smoker. It was a fun day
and a lot of students came over to support the team.
Dr. Happy Reynolds was in charge of the event and did
a great job. Commentators James Cook and Dewitt were
hilarious and added a unique touch to the day.
Cung Le once again put on a fantastic San Shou and Muay
Thai event in San Jose on Saturday night. Fight and
Fitness had two of our fighters compete and they both
did very well.
Fight and Fitness had its best smoker yet this past
Saturday. The turnout of fighters and fans was amazing.
We had 18 fights and many different schools participating.
The match-ups were exciting and the crowd seemed very
pleased with the show.
Believe it or not, Bunkerd is temporarily
coming out of retirement. Our 5-time World Champion
trainer was offered a match in New York on Aug. 20,
2005 that he could not refuse. He will be going up against
a fighter from Warsaw, Poland: Mariusz Cieslinski who
is also an IKF world champion. Bunkerd is excited and
anxious to get back in the ring and we all wish him
the best.
